Easter with Grandma Cathy

Happy Easter! Kylie hunted for her Easter baskets first thing this morning, and then we took it easy for the rest of the day. Monday was more of the same:  pool, playground and more pretend cooking!

Grandma Cathy at Porto de Galinhas

Today we drove down to Porto de Galinhas for some serious beach time. We had beautiful weather, got there right at low tide and had a wonderful lunch on the beach.

Grandma Cathy at Caruaru

On Tuesday, we drove two hours inland to the town of Caruaru to visit their huge outdoor market. It was a bit of a let down, but we still had fun. 

The next day the tide, Kylie's nap schedule, and the weather all came into perfect alignment for a bit of shark-free swimming in a coral pool at the beach in front of our house. Yay!

Crazy Grandma Cathy

My mom came down for her second visit to Recife this week. It was so nice to have company from home and so much help with Kylie! Autumn and I took full advantage and even got in a couple of date nights! We had such a wonderful time and tried to bribe her into staying forever! The first few days we just hung around Recife, played with Kylie and went to the beach.

Last Day in Panama

After our whirlwind tour of Panama, we decided to take it easy this morning and head back down to Casco Viejo for some shopping, wandering and eating.
