Recife Zoo - Parque Estadual de Dois Irmãos
Today, Kylie and I visited the Recife Zoo, and had a great time walking around and looking at the animals. There were mostly birds, monkeys, snakes and jungle-type animals, but they did have a few "exotic creatures" such as deer, bears, and a moose! Can't get those at home...lol!
Bem vindo!
Where to first boss?
Peek!
Birds!
Cheese
One of the best parts of the zoo was the nature preserve where you can see what the area was originally like!
Wetlands!
Jungle-swamp!

Cachaçaria Carvalheira
Today we visited Cachaçaria Carvalheira to learn more about cachaça and the caipirinha, Brazil's national alcohol and drink.
A sugar cane press
Oak barrels to age the cachaça(that's what makes this particular brand special)
Fun Fact #1: It's not usually aged.
