Honolulu Vacay!

Autumn had meetings in Honolulu this week, so Kylie and I tagged along for a much needed vacation! Kylie has been growing like a weed and needed a whole new wardrobe before she STARTS PRE-SCHOOL in a few weeks! We had to power shop through a few stores and she actually has to try on the clothes now, which is a whole new level of fun / torture! Besides playing with K at the pool, we spent the week dining out, shopping and stocking up on goodies.

 Cheese!

 Can we swim now?
You know there's a pool at this hotel, right dad?

 !!!

Kylie learned to jump in the pool!

She never wants to leave.  She will live in the pool!

 It's too sunny!

 K's first real pedicure!

Trying to be serious, but laughing the whole time!

 Blue sparkle toes!

 Pool time again!

 Swimming with mama!

 Tiki drink!

 Matching sunglasses?

Maybe in pink?

Fancy tonkatsu sandwich at Tonkatsu Ginza Bairin!

A Visit to Kwajalein Atoll

This month I traveled to Kwajalein Atoll in the RMI.  Here are some highlights from a great trip!

It's a beautiful day!

Sunsets are pretty great on this atoll as well.

World War II memorial.

A wonderful place to sit.....

...and enjoy some pure water from mountain.  (Psst, this water is not a product of the U.S.A.)

Weather moving across Kwajalein lagoon.

There's sharks in that water!!!  Anyone up for a swim??

A flower blooming in Ebeye.

June Instagram Round Up

Here are some of the sights we saw in the month of June around Majuro!  To see it live, follow me @autumnk0

Tomatillos in bloom.  There will be green sauce on this island....

Spectacular sunset #1.  This is one of the better ones I've taken, I think.  #nofilterneeded

A tamarind margarita.  A taste of Mexico  in the Equatorial Pacific.

Everything is better when it's made at home.

We've been leaning to make Japanese home-style food.  Here is ramen, and it was amazing.

Basil from the garden.  The garden is improving our lives everyday, I tell you.

Another one.  Eric has a scientific explanation for why the sunsets are so incredible here.  You should ask him about it.  :)

So, I found this cute Marshallese handicraft little box one day and thought it would be perfect for carrying around my asthma medicine.  Eric later told me it is obviously a cigarette box holder.  It fits my medicine perfectly, and I love the irony.

Tropical garden-scape.

Shell earrings, made in the RMI.

A lazy afternoon on the deck.  This umbrella was the best purchase of the year.

Everyone needs a well stocked fridge, right?

It's just so amazing, I can't stop taking pictures of it.

Everyone needs his or her own little bed.

More Japanese food.  This learning to make Japanese food is the best idea we have ever had I think.

Family cooking time.

And one parting sunset.
