Disneyland 2

After meeting Belle, "Aurora", and Snow White, nothing else was quite as amazing for Kylie, but we still had a ton of fun, especially in the afternoon, after Kristen joined in on the festivities. It was so great to catch up after TEN YEARS! It was like a day hadn't passed (other than the fact that we had at least one million stories to share). We watched the parade and then attended a Frozen play before heading back to the apartment for some Mexican food. (Side note, Autumn had to physically restrain Kylie from running up on stage to hug Anna & Elsa during the play). As usual, we stayed up way to late and had way too much fun, but it was worth it! Can't wait 'til next time, both for Disney and for Kristen! Let's hope it doesn't take another ten years.

Meeting Snow White!

Kylie's absolute favorite attraction at Disneyland was meeting the princesses! She got to meet Belle, "Royal Friend" aka, the Sleeping Beauty understudy, and Snow White. They were all so cute, and it was very magical for Kylie!

Disneyland 1

This morning we drove from Palm Springs to Anaheim to visit DISNEYLAND! I hadn't been there since I was a kid, and it was Autumn and Kylie's first time. We visited the princess castle, rode the carousel and Dumbo rides, grabbed a bite to eat and then checked into our apartment. After a nap and some adult refreshment, we headed back for some Disney after dark, which was NOT a hit with Kylie. We walked around a bit and rode a couple of rides, but after a very scary and tear-filled ending to Mr. Toad's Wild Ride, Kylie was ready to go home!

Tracks in the Snow

I'm finally back from Brazil and ready to enjoy home leave with my family.  We make the most out of the first snow!!

We decided to take a (2 mile) walk to the mailbox and back.  There were signs of many wild friends living all around us.  There were bald eagles in the trees and vultures in the field.  The tracks were the most interesting to me, though.  Here are deer tracks.

Kylie is super excited about her ride in the toddler-bogan.

The toddler-bogan may not be the most fun for everyone though.  Someone has to pull the toddler.  :)

Quail tracks!  (Kylie, what does a quail say?  Peep-peep!  Obviously.)

Um, yeah, that's a cougar print.  Or a saber-toothed tiger.  Probably a cougar, though.

Snow angel big girl prints!!

Who lives in there??  lol.

Littler paws, probably coyotes.

Yikes!!  That has claws!!

Turkeys are storming the compound!!

It was super fun to look at all the tracks and play in the snow.  Hopefully there is more to come!!

New Year's Day

Happy New Year!

Kylie and I had a short day of sledding with Grandma Cathy before we headed down to Spokane to pick up Autumn on her return trip from Brazil! Kylie could barely contain her excitement. We met up with Tom, Amy, Sam & Nick at the Rusty Moose, aka the Moose Knuckle for dinner while we were waiting for Autumn's flight to get in. After this trip, we should just buy a house at the Spokane Airport. I think we've stayed there as often as any of our parents houses on this trip!

Moments before we hit a rock and broke the sled...oh well...

 Time to make snow angels!

Ta-da!

I ready to see mama!

Welcome home Autumn!
