We had a full day in San Miguel on Sunday, and started off with a great breakfast at a sidewalk cafe called Ten Ten Pie. After breakfast, we wandered over to Parque Juarez and browsed through the plant market. We couldn't really buy anything there, so we shopped our way over to the Instituto and through town to the main arts and crafts market, toured churches, and ate and drank the day away. We met up with the Colville Rotarians for a pre-dinner happy hour and finished out the day at Pegasso for dinner. It was still a little too early for bed, so we picked up some playing cards before heading back to the hotel, and sat up playing Hearts for a few hours and chatting. It was a very relaxing day!
Oh! I almost forgot to mention that it was Carnival today, and San Miguel has a unique tradition where they smash eggs filled with confetti on everyone's heads. We got in on the action (whether we wanted to or not) and we covered in confetti before the night was over.
