The Motion of the Ocean..or Something

Yesterday morning we said our good byes to the fam and set out for the second part of our road trip!  With our final destination being Long Beach, WA on the coast, we had a long day of driving ahead of us.  Along the way we had to stop to make some car seat adjustments, but all-in-all we had a pretty good trip!

This morning we woke to a dark and stormy day on the coast.  It was cold, windy and rainy, but that didn't stop us from at least trying to go to the beach!

We stayed here, at the Knole Guesthouse in Long Beach.  It was really cute, and we would highly recommend it.  It was FULL of stained glass and lots of notes all over with instructions.

Stained Glass OVERLOAD!!!!!

Here we are, all bundled up to try to reach the beach in the rain.  Miss Kylie does not seem to care about the storm, as long as she has her bubbles.

We're on the right track!

A path, a path!  Well maintained as it was, this was a pretty awful walk in the driving rain.

We made it, but we didn't stay long.

One last look before we hightailed it back to the house.

After lunch it was decided we needed to stay indoors the rest of the day.  The weather was too bad for going to do anything.  Prepare for a cuteness overload!  Here is Eric playing with Kylie...well as much as one can play with a 1 month old.

This is the first photo in what we hope will become a regular series on the blog we call "Baby Professor".  Look for other new features coming soon, such as "What We Shoulda Did" and "Well, That Was Real Differnt!"

This baby is completely asleep, yet her hands are still awake.  Channeling her inner rapper perhaps!

Hopefully the weather will be better tomorrow!!

  1. Now that "funny tshirt contest" is over, I'm excited for these new categories. I know we can't participate in "baby Professor" but I'm hoping we can be a part of "What We Shoulda Did" and "Well, That Was Real Differnt!"...whatever those mean. :) BTW, Kylie wins cutest baby ever. :)

  2. Is "Funny Tshirt Contest" ever really over??
