A Whole Day in Seattle

Today we had a whole day of fun in Seattle!  We started our fun day at Trophy Cupcakes in Wallingford (aka my favorite place in the world) to meet my friend Sam and her two little girls, including her brand new baby.  It was so fun to catch up with Sam, I don't think I had seen her in over 10 years.  Facebook is really an amazing thing!  After that we headed over to Chinook's for lunch, and ambled through Pike Place Market before finishing the day with a dinner at Shiki Japanese Restaurant on Queen Anne.  It was the best sushi I have had...maybe ever.  Well, outside of Japan at least.  Such a fun day!

Here's Eric sitting at the best table we've ever gotten at Chinook's.  Apparently a baby is the key to the hostess' heart!

I couldn't resist a portrait of my lunch.  A fresh wild salmon taco and a cup of clam chowder.  So.  Good.

Strolling around the market.

One of my favorite stops in the market.  Today we got some fancy pizza flour for a treat at a later date.

We stopped for a big bag of hot little donuts...and discovered their secret!  They have enslaved a Donut Robot to do their bidding!!!

The goods...perfectly hot little fried balls of dough.  Yum.

The new view of the waterfront as seen from the market.

Amazing sushi at Shiki.  Again, yum!  Seattle is an incredible place to eat.

Phew!  There is one tuckered out baby!
